Get to Know Us
Haughville SDA Church is a Christ-centered church and movement committed to sharing hope, healing, and truth in our Community and neighborhood. Rooted in Biblical Truth, we are a Seventh-day Adventist church that believes the gospel of Jesus Christ transforms lives today and prepares hearts for His soon return.
We are a Family of Members united across generations and cultures, where everyone belongs, and no one walks alone. Guided by Scripture, we worship on the Sabbath, promote holistic health, practice faithful stewardship, and lead through service rather than position.
Our faith moves us beyond the church walls. We are actively engaged in ministry and service that uplift the vulnerable, pursue justice, and bring practical compassion to real-life needs. Everything we do is shaped by hope in Christ’s power to restore now and His promise of eternal life.
At Haughville, you’ll find a church that lives what it believes, serves with purpose, and points people to Jesus.
At Haughville SDA Church, our beliefs are rooted in the Bible, the inspired Word of God, and are expressed through the 28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. These beliefs shape how we worship, live, serve, and share hope with our community and neighborhood.
Our History

History of Haughville Praise and Worship Center SDA Church
Haughville Praise and Worship Center, located at 2716 W. 20th Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a vibrant and welcoming congregation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church committed to growing disciples for Christ and serving the community. The original church building, Haughville SDA Church, was erected in 1989 under the leadership of Pastor Alfonzo Greene Jr. That part of the church building was the sanctuary, which today serves as the chapel.
In the summer of 1990, the Lake Region Conference transferred Pastor LeRoy Logan from Indianapolis and assigned him to serve the Eastside and Haughville Church District. Shortly after his arrival, he and his wife, Sister Cloie, became active members of the Indianapolis Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA), hosting numerous programs for the chapter and for community choirs throughout the city. Pastor Logan, through vision and prayer, led the church in expanding the building to accommodate the growing congregation. In 2009, the Haughville Seventh Day Praise and Worship Center was erected. A devoted supporter of gospel music, Pastor Logan encouraged artistic worship and community engagement and became known as a spiritual father-figure and mentor to many in both church and community. After 32 years of faithful service, Pastor Logan retired in January 2023.
On April 2, 2022, Pastor Shane I. Francis was officially assigned to lead Haughville Praise and Worship Center. Under his leadership, the church experienced continued spiritual growth, with notable increases in baptisms and expanded youth engagement programs that deepened discipleship and participation across generations.
In January 2024, the church welcomed Pastor Henoc L. Paulicin following a call from the Lake Region Conference and confirmation through prayer and congregational affirmation. Pastor Paulicin’s passion for music, preaching, youth ministry, and community service aligned closely with the mission and heart of Haughville Church. Embracing a leadership ethos shaped by the question, “If the church building burned down, would the community notice?” Pastor Paulicin has emphasized spiritual growth through weekly Bible study and a renewed focus on prayer and community impact. Under his guidance, the church continues to build on its legacy as a place of worship, service, and transformation for Indianapolis and beyond.
