Rijenna Murray,
Youth Ministry Director
Rijenna is the AY leader at Haughville SDA Church. Rijenna is in her second term as the Illiana Youth Federation. She serves on the Lake Region Conference Executive Committee and the Lake Union. Rijenna was a juvenile probation officer in Marion County for 23 years, pursuing her passion as a program coordinator in one of the larger school districts in Indianapolis. She serves on the committee for Youth Empowerment and other youth-led initiatives across the city of Indianapolis and the state. Rijenna is on a mission to lead, encourage, and empower youth and young adults to be unstoppable for Christ through leadership, community service, and wellness. Rijenna is the CEO of Jenna Murray Fit & Healthy.

Youth Ministry: Growing Faith, Building Leaders, Serving with Purpose

Our Youth Ministries program provides a safe and welcoming space where young people can grow in their faith, build confidence, and experience God’s love in meaningful ways. We believe youth need strong spiritual roots and practical guidance to face life’s challenges with wisdom, courage, and faith.

Through Bible study and open conversation, youth learn about God’s character, His promises, and how faith connects to everyday life. We also create opportunities for connection through group activities and shared experiences that help build healthy relationships, communication skills, and self-confidence.

Leadership development is an important part of our ministry. Youth are encouraged to serve and lead through Youth Days, leadership roles, and participation in worship and programs. These experiences help them discover their gifts, grow in responsibility, and lead with integrity and purpose.

We believe faith is meant to be lived out. Our youth serve the community through outreach efforts such as feeding the homeless and supporting clothing drives. Through service, they learn compassion, teamwork, and the joy of making a difference. Our goal is to raise spiritually grounded, socially confident, and service-minded young leaders who live out their faith each day.
